Bedrock Wells

Bedrock wells are drilled into bedrock, tapping the cracks in the rock that carry the water. An average bedrock well depth is between 100' and 500'; however drilling depth can exceed over 500'. The diameter of a bedrock well for domestic use can be between 6" and 12" depending on the water flow that is needed.

Every well requires casing (the pipe installed into the bedrock) and a pump to carry the water to the surface and into the home. An adequate amount of casing installed into the bedrock is one of the most important features to a properly constructed well. The casing protects the well from possible contaminants at or near the ground water.

During the drilling process we monitor the water flow to ensure that the water source is adequate for your family, lawn or business. Depths can vary greatly, but as we drill we constantly monitor the water flow, so you can be confident that we will never drill a well that is deeper than it has to be to provide your home or building with the water you'll need.

Tip
Top 5 Well Killers:

Well Killer No. 1 - Cracked, Broken or Missing Well Caps

The cap, which should be sealed tightly at all times, keeps out everything from liquid contaminants to bugs that can crawl inside a well and wreak havoc. Do not landscape around the well cap. The top of the well should be at least 1' above the ground.
