Water Systems Technician Assistant

Amount of travel required:  Local
Work schedule: Monday-Friday, hours as assigned. Weekend on-call rotation required minimum semi-annually. Overtime (although is NOT guaranteed) is a requirement 

 

POSITION SUMMARY 

Provides assistance to the Water Systems Technician on all types of water systems; ideal candidate would have basic filtration, pump and well knowledge and with general knowledge of working with hand tools.

At the direction of the lead Water Systems Technician:

  • Provides repair assistance for all types of water systems equipment for new and existing customers.

  • Provides assistance for the installation of new water systems equipment.

  • Must acquire and maintain a list of tools necessary to perform the functions of the job. See Policy & Procedure Manual and/or Operations Manager for complete list.

  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor’s and/or Upper Management.

SKILLS & ABILITIES 

Education:  High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)

Experience:  None required.

Other Requirements, Certificates & Licenses:      

  • Maintain a valid driver’s license. 
  • Obtain and maintain a DOT medical card (Federal Motor Carrier requirements-paid by the Employer).
  • Maintain a good driving record, needs to be covered by companies’ general liability insurance.
  • OSHA 10hour minimum; 30hour preferred. 

 

Computer Skills:  Basic computer skills for iPad, mobile app for shift timesheet entries, and the ability to adapt to various computer programs/software within a timely manner.
