Solving Low Water Pressure Problems
There are many variables to consider when determining the cause of low water pressure. Decreased water supply or a problem with your water pump could be the problem, but each case must be reviewed individually. Please call us at 1-800-441-6281 and a Skillings representative can ask you a few questions to help determine what type of service is necessary for your system.
Constant Drive Pressure System
If you are tired of low water pressure and would like city-like water pressure on your well all the time, you may want to consider the MonoDrive constant pressure system by Franklin Electric.
The MonoDrive is a big technological advance in the constant pressure arena compared to previous systems, and can provide city-like pressure from your existing submersible pump. We are so confident in this system that we offer a one week trial free to qualifying customers. If you like it, we will provide you with an estimate to permanently install the system. If you aren’t happy with the MonoDrive system we will remove it at no charge to you.
Preventative Water Well Maintenance
To keep your water pump functioning properly, we recommend you have it serviced every five years. Here are some details our technicians examine in our preventative maintenance checks:
- The pressure switch is replaced and adjusted.
- A new pressure gauge is installed.
- The relief valve and the boiler drain are replaced.
- The storage tank is checked for proper air pressure.
- Well pump is checked for voltage, amperage and ohms to check performance.
- The integrity of the well cap will be checked.
